Nowadays, we're on the hunt for a dynamic Product Owner to join our 'Protect' team!
Reporting into the Product Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with compliance and various teams to drive the compliance agenda, enhance operational efficiency, and maximise protection for our players in all markets.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join the Product Management Dept and act as a Product Owner for our Protect Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure our products comply with regulatory requirements while prioritising player safety. You will be responsible for defining and driving product improvements related to regulatory compliance, risk management, and user safety across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Delivery:
- Own the product backlog for the Protect team, ensuring features are well-defined, prioritised, and delivered on time.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to align on product strategy, goals, and key initiatives.
- Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into actionable product features.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Design) to define and implement solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to act as a liaison between the Protect team and internal stakeholders at all levels in the company.
- Communicate product updates, delivery progress, and key performance indicators.
- Facilitate workshops, product reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
Compliance & Player Safety Focus:
- Work with the compliance team and the Product Manager to stay ahead of regulatory changes in all relevant markets, proactively adapting the product as needed.
- Drive initiatives that enhance fraud prevention, responsible gaming, and data protection.
- Ensure features meet high standards of security, privacy, and legal compliance.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a tech-driven environment.
- Experience working with Agile development teams and managing backlogs.
- Ability to balance technical, legal, and business perspectives.
- Technical literacy: Ability to understand technical concepts, collaborate with development teams, and evaluate technical solutions.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, AML, responsible gaming).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, or product safety is a big bonus.
- Product ownership certification (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent).
- Experience in the iGaming or similar regulated technology sector.
