Position Overview:
As a Data Analyst, you will deliver insights to support business decisions by creating dashboards, automating reports, and resolving data anomalies. This role focuses on responding to data requests, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving improvements in data quality, processes, and reporting efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from various business stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create custom reports and dashboards to support decision-making across multiple departments.
- Present data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analyse incidents and data anomalies raised by business users, identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Manage and prioritise change requests, ensuring that all updates and enhancements to reporting and data pipelines are implemented smoothly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve data issues impacting the business.
- Identify opportunities to automate frequently requested reports and ad-hoc queries, turning short-term requests into long-term, scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI Engineers to build automated, self-service reporting tools that business stakeholders can access on demand.
- Ensure that all business requests and provided solutions are well-documented and aligned with data governance and security best practices.
- Proactively identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to correct and prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with business users to understand their data needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Educate business stakeholders on available data sources, tools, and reporting platforms to drive self-sufficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analytics, iGaming, and technology.
- Drive continuous
improvements in data processes, reporting methods, and analysis
techniques.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science, data science, economics, statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of the iGaming industry including key operational business processes, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets and working with relational databases.
- Proficiency in reporting and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar, with emphasis on Tableau.
- Experience with SQL for querying databases, as well as familiarity with database management systems.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, including dimensional data modelling techniques and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
- Precision in analysing and reporting data, with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and suggest data-driven solutions.
- Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in presenting data findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment (SCRUM).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, new tools, and evolving data requirements.
